Governor Gavin Newsom announced the "Restaurants Deliver: Home Meals for Seniors" partnership with counties, cities and tribes on April 24. Details are still being finalized, but preliminary indications are that a $66 allowance per senior per day is planned. The program will:

• Help at-risk seniors by delivering three nutritious meals a day to their home.

• Provide stimulus to local businesses struggling during the COVID-19 crisis.
