The application period for the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program has been extended to Wednesday, 01/13/21 at 11:59 p.m. Maintenance will be performed every night from midnight to 4 a.m. and applications cannot be accessed during that time. Info at https://careliefgrant.com/

Update from Solano SBDC (Jan 4):

The California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program launched Wednesday morning and we have heard from many of you who have been trying to access the state's website at https://careliefgrant.com/. The website has been overwhelmed with traffic all day and users who are able to access the application are reporting glitches and slow loading pages.

The SBDC would like to remind everyone that this grant program is not awarded on "first come, first serve" and that all applications received between now and the closing date of Jan. 8, 2021 will be reviewed. We encourage those of you having trouble accessing the site to wait a few days for web traffic to slow.

If you have questions about the grant or application process, visit https://sbdc.mylendistry.com/grant, email loans@asksbdc.com or call 833-275-7232.

California Small Business Grant Program

California businesses and nonprofits can now request support from California's $500 million Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. Small businesses and nonprofits are eligible for grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, based on revenue in the most recent tax return filed (2019 or 2018).

For the first round of funding, businesses will have until Friday, January 8, 2021, at midnight to apply. Businesses approved for funding will be notified starting on January 13, 2021. Applicants who submit their application and all documentation in the first round do not need to reapply when the second round of funding opens later in 2021.

This program builds on the Small Business Hiring Credit that launched at the beginning of December.
