Benicia City Manager Lorie Tinfow released an emergency order that streamlines the process for businesses to expand operations into outdoor locations, effective May 22. This order applies to businesses that want to set up seating in their parking lots, on neighboring property with owners’ permission, or in the public right of way. It is part of the “parklet” program development that is currently under way.
This order will be presented to the Council for ratification at the June 2 meeting.
