Rebuilding Solano’s Small Business Grant Program
Application Deadline: Sept. 30
The Workforce Development Board of Solano County announced the Building Solano's Small Business Grant Program funded by $2,000,000 in CARES Act funding. This program will provide microgrants to Solano County small businesses that are experiencing economic stress related to the pandemic, with the goal of preventing layoffs or closures and allowing small employers to effectively pivot operations in response to COVID-19.
Applications will be accepted beginning Tuesday, September 15 through September 30. This is a competitive grant process, which means Benicia businesses are competing against other Solano County businesses for limited funding. Business owners are encouraged to be specific in the amount they ask for, thorough in completing their application, and should provide backup or supporting documentation. To that end, a series of webinars are scheduled to guide businesses in the application process (see below).
The application will be available soon. A flyer and summary are attached below. Additional details are available at https://solanoemployment.org/rebuild-solanos-small-business-grant-program.
