New Employee Training Options Through Adult Ed

Benicia Unified Adult Education

As businesses struggle to find qualified employees to fill positions, Benicia Unified Adult Education is partnering with employers to offer training in basic skills (English, GED/high school diploma) as well as Career and Technical Education (CTE).

If your current employees need basic education or entry-level career skills, Benicia Unified can bring the training to your office or warehouse, building the training around your needs. For example, if English skills are lacking, they might come in and work with employees an hour or two each week, depending on your needs.

CTE topics include:

  • computer and office skills and certification

  • construction blueprints

  • welding

  • land and water caretakers and permaculture

  • pre-apprenticeship math

  • hospitality/culinary

  • paraeducator/instructional assistant

Any person 18 years or older can participate, whether they are employed or not. Class sizes range anywhere from four to forty people and are offered both in person and online.
