the Benicia City Council announced the appointment of Mario Giuliani as City Manager for the City of Benicia. Giuliani has been serving as Interim City Manager since March 2023, after the retirement of former City Manager, Erik Upson.

Mandatory Water Conservation Following Hillside ...

All Benicia residents and businesses are required to conserve water due to damage to the City’s main water line that delivers all drinking water to the City of Benicia. The damage occurred when a hillside collapsed near I-680 and Gold Hill Road, just outside Benicia city limits.

State of the City 2023

Benicia’s first State of the City event is Feb. 22, 11:30AM – 1:15PM. In addition to comments from the City and Chamber of Commerce, economist Robert Eyler, PhD, will update participants on current economic trends affecting Benicia. Registration is required.

Personal Care Services to Reopen Starting June 19

Before reopening to the public, personal care service businesses will be required to meet specific COVID-19 guidelines, including establishing a workplace specific plan, training employees and implementing screening and control measures, cleaning and disinfecting protocols, guidelines for social distancing and specific criteria for the type of service being provided. Restaurants, Retail get OK to Start Reopening

Business sectors that have been given permission to begin the safe reopening process in Solano County as part of the accelerated plan include destination retails stores, including bookstores, jewelry stores, toy stores, clothing stores, home furnishing, sporting goods, florists, shopping malls, swap-meets, dine-in restaurants and office-based business operations.
